This is your time to…….

I was at the launch of our southern satellite BIM hub at the offices of Hampshire County Council this week.

Mike Turpin and Allister Lewis are leading the charge in the south. Great event, good turn out and I hope it bodes well for the future of the BIM Hub network in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.

At these events the point I’ve often made is that if its going to happen, WE have to do it. No- one will do it for us. The Hubs are driven by passionate and enthusiastic people, but if they don’t do it, nobody else will. This is your/our chance to play a part in changing an industry in a way never before even imagined.

This is truly an exciting time, perhaps the most exciting of my career anyway, simply because we are on the verge of construction industry transformation on a scale that is unprecedented. We are in sight of reaching those goals that Latham, Egan, and others only dreamed about.

Collaboration without boundaries, true integration, delivering exceptional results consistently, time after time and making our world a better place to live in the process.

BUT it is down to you and me. “Be the change you want to see.”

This is your time to take part, and make a difference. Don’t come back in 10 years and say, the Government didn’t do this, or clients didn’t do that or whoever.

Your children will ask you, “What were you doing when BIM changed the construction industry?” What will you say? I got stuck in, joined the hubs, collaborated, supported, and so on, or just sat on my hands and did nothing, and watched from the sidelines?

This is now the Building Information Movement (for change). It’s up to us!

2016?

Bring it on!

cheers

J
